Creating a configuration profile |
For different classes of computers (notebooks, desktops, production machines, PDA., offline computer, etc….), different purposes (human resources, management, sales, field technician, etc….) or sites (London, Madrid, Vienna) we can set up different sets of functionality and permissions. These are stored in profiles that are assigned to computers.
We want to create a sample profile. We open the SES management console and authenticate to our master key file. In the folder „Profiles“ we right click into the right windows and choose „Add profile“ Now we select computer profile or a PDA profile ... confirm „ok“. We name it and give a description that allows us to find the profile and match it to the correct computers easily. Now let’s talk about the configuration options. (we can get to the configuration boxes by clicking on the 4 centered buttons)
