Protiva OTP is licensed with the hardware token. The Protiva SAServer doesn't need any additional server licenses. So you can start small and costeffective and grow just as demand rises.
End user devices which are dedicated to Protiva SA only (SA .NET Dual, SA Easy OTP Token) are usually sold with included Protiva SA Server Licence (you see it on the term "SA" in product name). Other End User Devices not solely dedicated to Protiva SA (.NET cards, Smart Enterprise Guardian) can be ordered with or without SA Server Licence. If you are using such devices, SA Server Licence can be acquired extra.
In buying a SA Server Licence for a device, you will get an encrypted provisioning file for this device from Gemalto, (the devices have a unique Protiva ID) You just need to import this information to the Protiva SAServer, than you are able to use this OTP Device and assign it to a user. This workflow is valid for all devices but the SA Easy, which can be activated via Live Provisioning. In projects with high user numbers and special requirements other provisioning methods are also possible.
