Entrust Entelligence Group Share is a workgroup security solution, it helps organizations to protect valuable data stored on corporate networks and is used by only certain user groups in the company. Group Share protects this data in a manner that is automatic, transparent to the end user and persistent.
Entrust Entelligence Group Share offers unprecedented manageability allowing the ability to change permissions on a shared folder without having to modify the folder or its contents - eliminating the need to re-encrypt data when permissions are changed. The solution also provides greater visibility on encrypted folder activity, creating an audit log including what users accessed which folders, from what location and at what specific time.

Entrust Entelligence Group Share perfect for certain groups in companies like R&D or HR, which handle sensitive information, which has to be protected also within the organisation.
Entrust Entelligence Group Share is working with patented "Group-Key-technology" of Entrust. It brings the advantage of a PKI, but without the necessity to run an own PKI. The Group Key Technology allows the encryption of files in folders with same key, but the private key is only sent for access, if the user is authenticated and authorised. Entelligence Group Share stores Groups and Keys for protected folder on a central server.
This centralised modell allows a detailled auditing and better control of access and security, because the keys doesn't remain on the clients. Encryption is persistent, if the protected information is copied or moved to another storage media, it remains encrypted an is therefore protected.

Users don't have to change their work, they can use the applications and workflows as always. The sensitive information is protected and remain protectet nonetheless. Saving a document in a network folder protected by Group Share, the document is encrypted transparend in the background and access is only possible for authorised users or groups. An encrypted file remains encrypted when it is moved to other media. Encryption and decryption is done on the client in the background, reducing the effort for education of the users.
Group Share integrates seamlessly into existing infrastructure and is leverages. E.g. it uses Active Directory Groups and also an existing Microsoft CA.
