Readertest 2004

Cryptoshop.com is running tests where different combinations of smart card, smart card reader and middleware are tested on function and performance.

The used smart cards are on the one hand smart cards on the market, on the other hand modified smart cards of cryptoshop.com with several specific ATRs.

Test-PC is a Windows XP Professional SP 1, Pentium 4 with 2,8 GHz and 512 MB RAM. Tests consists of:
- Resetperformance with all ATRs on the card
- Selectperformance
- transfer rate of APDU with different lenght of the instruction (Update 32, Update 64, ...128, ...192,...254,...260)

On the performancetests of Select and APDU/Update are stated the length of the response, because this length affects the results. You have to consider this, when you compare the performance.

We also do "CSP-Tests" which is a testset of differnet instructions according the asymmetric keys on the cards.
