This is a class 3 smart card reader based on the cyberJack® e-com
. The CyberJack® biometric is additionally equipped with a capacitive fingerprint reader based on C-MOS with 256 grey scales. The resolution is 500 dpi with 224 x 288 dots. Included is a cable for USB (1.5m), removeable metal stand, CD-ROM with CT-API and PC/SC Driver and smartmate software.

Biometric - sensor technology |
Biometric modul has a capacativ fingerprint sensor based on C-MOS with 256 greyscales and resolution of 500 dpi and 224 x 288 pixel. The sensor gathers the differences in structure and is extracting the template. Because of the internal image processing all security relevant data are handled in the reader.

Biometric - enrollment |
The cyberJack biometric uses the distinctive characteristics of the human fingerprint. Reference data from the biometric pattern of the finger has to be extracted for later comparison. This needs a lot of computing an most biometric applicatons are using the capacity of the computer.
For this reason sensitiv data will be in a unprotected area. But a cyberJack® biometric is equipped with a powerful image-processor, which is allowing to process fingerprint data in real time. Sensitiv data is always processed in secure manner.

Match on Reader |
The reference data is encrypted in the biometric module. The reader is checking if the applied finger is known respektively the owner is authorised. Advantage is, that ther is no need for further changing of smart cards or application (just secure pin entry via pinpad has to be supported by the application). 1000 fingerprints can be recorded.
