In Safenet BSEC SSO the administrator trains with his console the applications which has to be used for Single-Sign-On. The autentication screens and fields, passwort changing screens and fields will be registered to BSEC SSO. For use with a Microsoft PKI - the certificate template to use has to be defined.
This fast process (Rapid Deploy Technology ) ends with the creation of the customised policy client installation package, which kann be deployed and installed by group policy or Microsofts SMS.
The users can do the enrollment with this customised client, they have to enter all their passwords for the trained applications respektivly a certificate will be enrolled on the smart card. Henceforth no user has to think about his passwords - even pushing the OK-button can be done by BSEC SSO.
The administrator may implement strong passwort policies because, trained password change dialogs will also be done by BSEC SSO, the password is created according to the rule by the smart card. The administrator can configure also a recovery option, if a card is forgotten or lost.
The application migration to pki authentication, for terminating the remainding technical intractable problems of passwords, can be done with Axis without bothering change for the user. Because of integration of a Microsoft PKI in BSEC SSO the PKI-authentication is hided - there is no change for the user. Have a look at the BSEC SSO Demo
