The ASECard Crypto Card is a 72K EEPROM card with ASEPCOS, the smart card operating system from Athena SCS. This information is for "Pin-cards" (PIN only) as well as for "BIO-cards" (PIN and biometrics). Athena Cards with ASEPCOS (operating system) are supported by OpenSC but Athena cards always include the Athena Middleware licence. So you have the free choice which middleware you want to use.
