INFO & KNOWLEGDE

JCOP is the abbreviation for Java Card OpenPlatform and is a Java smart card. Currently JCOP is distributed and developed by NXP. Having a closer look on the JCOP Range the JCOP 41 v2.3.1. is the top card.

The JCOP 41 is an USB-smart card and can also be used with simple USB-connectors. The JCOP card is connected as ICCD card and communicates with ICCD standard drivers.
JCOP 41 is a Dual-Interface Smart Card, that means, the card can be contacted with a contactless card reader too. For building access systems, this card is able to emulate Mifare Classic 1k/4k.
JCOP 41 v2.3.1 is compliant with JavaCard Standard 2.2.1. and GlobalPlattform 2.1.1. Also the cryptographic features are top, RSA to 2432 bit and 'Eliptic curves' - (ECC GF(2n)) are supported.
