Memory chip cards

Memory chip cards have a fixed logical structure, therefore they are much simpler to integrate and there is a faster success for developers, working with cards the first time. They have only low security mechanisms and no cryptographic capabilities.

Consider that they are using special protocols (synchronous) not every smart card reader can cope with. But there is one exeption, the GemClub Memo, which uses the asynchronous T=0 protocol (PC/SC).
