The CardCare card protection is a small 2 mm thick clip which protects 2 cards physically. CardCare Pocket is made of a special steel developed for this purpose, so the card is not scratched by CardCare Pocket. CardCare is protecting the cards:
- Breakage and wearout of cards (because of keeping the cards in the wallet) - unauthorised contacting (and reading) of contactless cards (RFID) because the card is shielded from the induction field - Magnetism and radiation which may harm the magnetic stripe - mitigating deformation and twisting of the card and prevents damage the bonding of the cards.
Frequent deformation may damage the connection of the chip with the visible contacts (bonding).
